New Update for From Micro, PLC, DCS and INTools
I want to share about instrument and control system in manufacturing, Petrochemical and O&G. But, for the information, i want to introduce myself. My basic education was Instrument Physics at University of Indonesia, and graduated on August 2005. My journey as Instrument and Automation Engineer are:
1. Worley Parson PMC RDMP Pertamina (Apr 2021 - Now).
5. Indesso Petrochemical (Des 2010 - Oct 2011).
6. BlueScope Steel Indonesia (Oct 2007 - Des 2010)
7. Prasimax Mikron (Des 2004 - Sep 2007).
3 years(2004 - 2007) working at Prasimax Micron Consultant as Jr. System Control Engineer, my job desk to make sure my software and hardware design are match with client want.
Prasimax Job Description:
1. Programming MicroController (AT-8951, AVR etc).
2. Prepare electrical hardware, likes: System Minimum for Microcontroller.
3. Programming Visual Basic, Assembly Language, C-Language and Robotics.
4. Design, Installation and Commissioning at client facilities.
5. Trainer for Microcontroller and Visual Basic
Then after 2007, i go to my first manufacturing company, BlueScope Steel Indonesia. The company is international company, cause they have head office and big facilities at Australia. Bluescope Steel Indonesia facilities at Cilegon, Banten and they have other company in Cibitung, the named is Bluescope Lysaght. That was 3 years (2007 - 2010) at Bluescope as Automation Engineer. It's the first time i known how to be a good engineering cause my manager give me challenge to be a great Engineer.
BlueScope Steel Job Description:
1. Management Project (Design, Scheduling, Bill of Material, Scope of Work, vendor selection, installation, commissioning, trial, hand over and document).
2. Prepare Automation Project and Facilities (PLC, HMI, CitectSCADA, AC-DC Drive, Indicator Control).
3. Responsibility for Field Instrument (Control Valve, Sensor, pH meter, servo motor, AC-DC motor).
4. Safety Leader for instrument facilities.
5. Back up maintenance and other discipline.
6. Meeting and presentation for new project.
It was great moment to be Bluescope Steel's employee, had relationship with the managers, other engineers and my sub-ordinate. But, i must go to jakarta again, then i joint with petrochemical manufacturing PT. Indesso Aroma, its a joint company with Swiss company Firmenich. From 2010 until the end of 2011. This company had their facilities at Cileungsi, West Java. They offer me to be Instrument and Control System Supervisor. The Petrochemical have many field instrument and bigger control system.
Indesso Job Description:
1. To Coordination Instrument and Control System work to production and management.
2. Prepare Project to expand the facilities.
3. Make sure all field instrument working excellent (PSV, PCV, Thermowell, PIT, TIT, PIC, TIC, pH meter).
4. Maintenance System Control (DCS, PLC and HMI).
5. Working together with vendor to make sure the project finished.
In Jakarta, i want to upgrade my knowledge in instrument technology. So, i go to ApGreid to training INTools and i joint with class of 13th. It was a good knowledge, and very interesting with O&G instrument.
After graduate from ApGreid, i join with Singgar Mulia Engineering Consultant for Oil and Gas as Instrument and Control Engineer. My domicile at Balikpapan Office in East Kalimantan. Our client are Total and Chevron, but others company no problem.
Singgar Mulia Job Description:
1. Prepare Conceptual Study and markup P&ID before site visit.
2. Deliverable document list (Site visit, Scope of Work, Bill of Material, Instrument Index, I/O list, Calculation Note, Datasheet and Cause Effect).
3. Modification Document (Specification, Datasheet and Requisition Material).
4. Prepare calculation note with INSTRUCalc (5.1 or 7).
5. Well Head Control Panel (WHCP), Fluid Logic and SIL Knowledge.
6. Check Drawing with draftman and Designer.
7. Joint review and communication with Client.
